Todd L. Kannegieter
VP of Finance
With 27 years of finance and accounting experience, Todd L. Kannegieter has served as Vice President of Finance for Circadence Corporation since 2001. Mr. Kannegieter is responsible for the overall financial management of the company, its financial reporting and transparency, and for multiple corporate functions including investor relations, treasury management and long-range financial planning
Mr. Kannegieter’s expertise includes private equity placements and debt issuances for start-up telecommunications and Internet services companies, strategic and financial planning, mergers and acquisitions, and managing finance and accounting activities for both domestic and international businesses in the Internet services and telecommunications sectors.
Prior to joining Circadence, Mr. Kannegieter served as CFO of Rivien Communications, Inc., a telecommunications company providing integrated voice and data applications, where he was responsible for accounting, finance, and investor relations functions. Mr. Kannegieter was a key member in raising debt and equity financing for acquiring telecom companies in a roll-up strategy, and then ultimately selling the company to Allegiance Telecom for $27 million in 2001. Prior to Rivien, Mr. Kannegieter was vice president of finance at COMSAT International, acquired by Lockheed Martin in 1999, where he had complete accounting and finance responsibility for operations in 11 countries with $400 million in investment and $115 million in annual revenue.
Mr. Kannegieter also held various finance positions at US West MediaOne, (ultimately purchased by Comcast), including CFO at Westel Cellular in Budapest, Hungary where he played an integral role in helping US West’s consortium win a 900 GSM license and also assisted in building and operating the company prior to its partial acquisition by Deutsche Telekom for approximately $1 billion.
Mr. Kannegieter started his career with KPMG Peat Marwick where he spent five years as an auditor on multi-national oil and gas, real estate and financial institution engagements.
Mr. Kannegieter is also the co-founder and director of VirtualArmor, a leading software and managed service provider for customers with advanced network and data security requirements. He has volunteered his time for several non-profit organizations including the CFO/Treasurer for Flagstaff Academy from 2003 to 2008, a K-8 charter school in Longmont, CO, where he was one of the Founders in 2003. He recently helped raise a $13.5 million bond for Flagstaff Academy’s new school building.
